About
EWAN [ yoo-uhn ] noun. Ewan means “born from the yew tree” or “of the yew tree” and is a variant of the Gaelic title Eòghan.
YEW TREES symbolise:
LONGEVITY & TIMELESS: Yew trees are ancient trees, often representing timelessness. As a graphic designer, I strive to create designs that are enduring, lasting well beyond trends. Reflected in my approach to design. TRANSFORMATION & RENEWAL: The yew tree is associated with regeneration. Graphic design often involves reinventing ideas, reinterpreting past design styles, or breathing new life into old concepts. PROTECTION & STABILITY: Historically, yew trees were planted in graveyards as symbols of protection. As a graphic designer, my role is a protector of visual integrity, providing clients with stable, reliable, and thoughtful designs that communicate their values.
BACKGROUND: I'm a design director with a unique global perspective - born in the UK, raised in South Africa, and now calling sunny London home. My journey into design began early, inspired by the intricate patterns and vivid colours of the natural world. After exploring cultures and landscapes across the globe, I decided to channel my passion into design, completing a BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication from Loughborough University.
Today, I work closely with clients to craft visually stunning and memorable experiences, blending creativity with purpose. Beyond design, I’m passionate about technology, travel, and cooking - interests that continuously inspire my creativity.
